Eat less, climb (and craft) more

Sometimes I think I should just change the title of this blog to EAT, since the climb and travel parts have been conspicuously absent lately. However, apparently eat.com is owned by Ragu, the disgusting pasta sauce company. So… eatclimbtravel.com will remain and I will strive to eat less, climb more and travel more as I beat down debt (and fat) and move on to my dreamier life.

Getting out of credit card debt has been fantastic! It freed up a little cash so I could buy some supplies to start sewing and crafting again. This week I made this!

And am learning how to do this!

And made a couple of these:

Yep, Crafting Carrie is back and might even open a little Etsy store to help support her habit and bring in some extra dough.  I’ll post a link when I get it up and running.

In other news, I am off climbing for yet another month. After an MRI showed bursitis in my shoulder, I’m on a strict NSAIDS and Physical Therapy regimen. Thankfully no tears, so no surgery! Spring climbing season is coming up and I want to be ready so I am minding doctor’s orders. Leavenworth should be perfect in about a month. Hopefully me atrophied muscles will keep my on the rocks and off the ground!

Happy Prezzie day!

  1. I hope you get well soon so you can do what you love to do~
It’s so great that you’re using your down time to be creative and productive. I started to knit a scarf last winter and I still haven’t finished it for this winter. You just reminded me to look for that unfinished project I tossed somewhere. Thanks~^^

    • I did the same thing Michelle! I started knitting years ago and just gave up…but it just wasn’t the right time. I’m way more domestic these days and have the patience to see (some) things through. Thanks and Good luck!
